Abilities

ABILITIES
i'm sorry this is a lot of shounen nonsense

INNOCENCE (Crown Clown)

Allen's left arm, distinctly non-human in appearance, is composed of a powerful, purportedly God-given holy substance called Innocence, or "God's Crystal," wielded by a small number of people known as Exorcists. Designed specifically to fight dark or demonic entities, Innocence is canonically only capable of being damaged by its polar opposite, Dark Matter. Deactivated, Allen's weapon serves as a normal (if more durable and deft) limb, but it takes on one of two distinct forms when activated:

With a lower percentage of activation, the arm turns sleek and black, with foot-long blades where his fingers should be (see: here), capable of cutting through near anything. It's accompanied by body armor in the form of a fur-lined hood and sleeved cape that covers his right arm, and a silver masquerade mask. This also gives him access to a number of attacks with dumb names he has a penchant for shouting in the middle of battle, because shounen:

Clown Belt: the cape is able to expand in length and split into ribbons that can slice through opponents or bind to surfaces like a spider's webbing. If Allen himself is too wounded to fight properly, the ribbons can wrap around his limbs and aid him in moving, puppet-like, back into the fray. (This is exactly as healthy as it sounds.)
Cross Grave: by drawing a cross in the air with his claw, he's able to either destroy enemies close-range with the energy released, or create a protective temporary barrier.
Crown Edge: crown-shaped explosive projectiles he can generate and throw from his claw.
Edge End: your typical massive short-range blast of energy, also thrown from his claw.

When activated above 100%, Allen is able to detach his left arm entirely and form it into a ridiculously long, broad blade (shaped not unlike a cricket bat), The Sword of Exorcism (see: here) which he then wields one-handedly. The blade is strong enough to embed itself in solid stone but will pass harmlessly through "normal" humans: that is, anyone who doesn't happen to have some dark and unholy entity lurking inside them. If they do, it can deal some heavy damage, but has a tendency to exacerbate the problem rather than exorcise it if his opponent is especially powerful. With the sword, he's also capable of:

Death Orbs: another explosive energy attack, but quite a bit stronger.

His Innocence possesses a silent consciousness and although Allen has full control over it most of the time, there are some situations where it'll act on its own to defend or attack. Occasionally against Allen's will. The fact that his Innocence is a part of his body (it's known as a Parasitic-Type weapon) can put him at a disadvantage, since overuse will wear him down and hurt his weapon. And because of the nature of it and the amount of energy it burns, Allen requires about 10x the caloric intake of your average adult male.

If damaged, he's also able to repair the arm himself. And if he's fatally injured, his Innocence is capable of patching up the wound itself. But unfortunately, Allen is host to a demonic entity known as a Noah, and Innocence can do as much harm to him as good.

THE CURSED EYE

The weird scar over his left eye is actually a curse placed on him which grants Allen the ability to see the imprisoned souls of Akuma (killing machines powered by the souls of the deceased.) When activated, the sclera turns black, his iris turns red, and it's accompanied by a spinning ghost cogwheel monocle lens that can detect Akuma from a distance of 350 meters. (See: here.)

Although there aren't any Akuma around in-game, he may be able to activate his eye to detect powerful sources of dark energy.

Because the eye is cursed, it's impossible to get rid of, and will grow back if damaged or removed.

THE FOURTEENTH NOAH (Nea Campbell)

This isn't so much an ability as it is an entirely separate person inside Allen's head, trying to erase him and take over his body. "Noah" themselves are regular humans who are born with one of the specific 13 "memories" (something passed down through generations of Noah) that, when awakened, gives them superhuman abilities of the unholy variety. And a few genocidal tendencies. Nea, the man who contained the mysterious fourteenth memory, is attempting to resurrect himself via Allen Walker.

Nea is hinted to be second only to the The Millennium Earl himself (the series' primary antagonist) in terms of strength. But there's currently no canon regarding what his abilities actually are. I'm not going to do much with him until I'm confident there's enough canon information to avoid a massive retcon on my part.

That may take a while.

OTHER

Acrobatics: Allen is a naturally skilled acrobat, and the years he spent as a traveling performer helped him hone the skill. He's impressively agile and nimble, and is fully capable of back-flips, handstands, etc. AND he can juggle.
Strength: Even with his human arm, Allen is strong enough to dent a clipboard with his fist and perform a single-arm handstand push-up using only his thumb on the back of an unbalanced chair, ssssomehow.
Hand-to-hand combat: He is, of course, a capable fighter without the use of his Innocence, and the aforementioned acrobatics and strength help a bit. He has absolutely no problem with fighting dirty, either.
Appetite: As mentioned before, when he uses his weapon regularly, he requires a ridiculous amount of food, well above and beyond what any average human normally consumes. Every meal. He can improbably clean off dozens of plates in a manner of minutes and still have room for seconds. Don't even ask.
Poker: Don't let the polite exterior fool you; Allen Walker is a cardsharp of the highest caliber. It's a skill developed out of necessity during the darker days of his training under Cross Marian (which was every day.) He always plays to win, and always cheats to get there.
Pain tolerance: His pain threshold may not be much greater than your average person's, but his tolerance for pain is kind of insane. He can brush off wounds that would incapacitate those who are less crazy shounen.
Telepathy??: He has, at one point, experienced a shared dream with fellow Exorcist, Lenalee Lee, and Krory another time, although he has no idea that's what it was. He also heard Lenalee calling his name when she was hundreds of miles away. Who knows if it means anything! It's irrelevant in-game, anyway.

WEAKNESSES

Holy energy: Thanks to the Noah he's hosting, holy abilities are super-effective against him, and may rouse the Fourteenth.
Demonic energy: His left arm specifically can be damaged by things that are demonic in origin.
Magic: He has no immunity to magic, and there are certain spells that can inhibit the use of his weapon or nullify the abilities of his cursed eye.
Drugs: Painkillers and sedatives can render him incapable of activating his weapon, or make it dangerous to attempt to do so. Alcohol also makes him ill, but for unrelated reasons.
Appetite: He can go hungry faster than a normal human, assuming he's using his weapon regularly.
