Something happened to him... [His voice is unsteady; the past few days have left him shaken. And now not only is his roommate brain dead, he's missing, and others are disappearing as well.
Whatever is happening, it's only beginning.] We'll find them, Lenalee. Wherever they've gone.
[He gives her the address. He's a few miles south-east of the Hold; he's been searching like mad for his roommate, but it's been aimless. He has no idea where to go, what to do.]
[Out into the weather, already; it takes a record thirty seconds to reach him, and she announces herself in the clatter of shingles just up the alley ahead.
But just for good measure, double-voiced over tablet and air:] You're first.
[Lenalee thinks there are times when the smiling is easier to bear to look at than anything more honest. He just has that sort of face. But if General Klaud had disappeared so easily, then why not-?]
I understand, Allen. [ "strangely", she's come to hate that word ] I'll help you look.
[He's not sure she does. 'Strangely' isn't the right word for it, doesn't do it justice at all. He's been acting mindless, soulless; Kaneis, in reality, went missing a while ago.
He nods, corners of his mouth turning up, like some kind of mind-reader. It's thin, but the gratitude in it is real.
He's tired.] Thank you, Lenalee. Another set of eyes would help a lot.

He's sure he doesn't need to tell her to call the others.]
He went missing a few hours ago. A boy named Chrono as well. I've been searching... [To no avail, obviously.]

-But there's been no sign of him, right?
no subject
...Kaneis, he couldn't even move on his own, yesterday.

The possibility honestly hadn't occurred to him. That Kaneis could actually be gone, entirely. Without so much as a 'goodbye.'
Somehow, he still doesn't know Zelos's fate back home. Just that Kaneis seemed to hate it there.]
I-
I don't know.
These past few days, he'd been behaving strangely, he'd - I have to know for sure, where he's gone.
